Gisela Dekort, a scholarship recipient, is awarded internationally

Gisela Dekort

The 17-year-old saxophonist has been recognized with several prestigious international awards.

In recent months, Gisela Dekort has won the 1st prize of the VII Odin International Music Online Competition, the 1st prize of the XII World Open Online Competition and the Grand Prize of the Classical Music International Competition, organized by IYMC (International Youth Music Competitions).

This year she has already shown her talent and perseverance in “Prodigios”, a TVE program dedicated to young music talents, where she was a finalist.

Dekort is a member of the Saxophone Classroom of the Liceu Conservatory, where she studies under Professor Albert Julià. Other future saxophone talents, such as Queralt Vivó and Maria Torres, both Ferrer-Salat Foundation scholarship recipients, have also been a part of the Saxophone Classroom.

We would like to congratulate Gisela and encourage her to continue to grow as a musician. Keep up the good work!
