Major agreement between The Foundation, the Liceu Conservatory and the Gran Teatre del Liceu

The Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation, the Liceu Conservatory, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu sign a collaboration agreement to promote young talent.

On November 22, the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation, the Liceu Conservatory and the Gran Teatre del Liceu signed a collaboration agreement to reaffirm their commitment to the country’s musical talent. This agreement testifies to a desire of creating a framework of opportunities for the Liceu Conservatory’s young artists and musicians, and of making them star in productions of the Gran Teatre del Liceu’s 2021-22 season, such as Trencanous-Jazz, El monstre al laberint, La cuina de Rossini and (Oh!)pera.
The goal is to make the professionalization and employability of Conservatory students in the world of music easier, standing by their side when they take their first steps and dignifying their value as emerging talents. Therefore, the agreement has an educational value and is extremely important on an artistic level: by starring in the productions of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the students of the Conservatory will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a completely professional environment that enhances their talent, thus contributing to the musical excellence that both the Conservatory and the Gran Teatre del Liceu have always brought to our culture.
The project is part of the LiceuAprèn program, which aims to bring the educational benefits of music and the arts to children and young people. To achieve this goal, LiceuAprèn works in three separate areas: creating and producing shows for children and young people, launching a training program, and partnering with several institutions while consistently pursuing social inclusion, training, research, and innovation goals.
