The Reina Sofía Prize for Musical Composition is intended to stimulate musical creation for symphony orchestra in its different forms.

Aim of the Prize

The Reina Sofía Prize for Musical Composition is intended to stimulate musical creation for symphony orchestra in its different modalities and to provide composers with the possibility that their music is performed, listened to and disseminated. With this objective, the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation annually provides the Reina Sofía Prize for Musical Composition with €35,000 in prize money. with 35,000€.
