Where excellence meets commitment

Each year, the Foundation sponsors promising young talents through the scholarships for higher music studies.
We know that music education can be a key element in both training young people and social progress. However, we also know that music is not an easy career to pursue and that not everyone can afford it. This is precisely why, for more than a decade, we have been working in collaboration with the Liceu Conservatory to make music studies more accessible to dozens of promising young talents thanks to the Ferrer-Salat scholarships.
THE SCHOLARSHIPS
The goal of the scholarships is to provide financial support so that students can fully devote themselves to artistic development. The scholarship covers the cost of four school years at the prestigious Liceu Conservatory as well as access to its facilities and to the series of masterclasses and concerts organized each year. The scholarship recipients come together in the same meeting space, where their growth is encouraged through chamber groups, masterclasses and the constant support of distinguished teachers and repertoire performers.
Dr. Maria Serrat, director of the Conservatori Superior del Liceu, explains the importance of being committed to excellence.

When excellence and commitment meet. Four students who obtained a Ferrer-Salat Scholarship give us their testimony about this experience and the responsibility it entails.
