Tenor Viñas competition comes to an end

After an intense week full of music and tension, the jury of the 58th Tenor Viñas Competition has announced the list of winners of the official, special, and extraordinary prizes.

This year, the Extraordinary Prize of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation has been awarded to six national talents: Carmen Artaza, mezzo-soprano who has also won the First Prize of the competition, among other recognitions, Carmen Buendía, Diana Larios, Irene Mas, Serena Pérez and Aurora Peña.

The jury of the 2021 Tenor Viñas Competition was made up of Damià Carbonell, Alessandro Di Gloria, Alessandro Galoppini, Sonia Ganassi, Tobias Hasan, Joan Matabosch, Elena Pankratova, Christian Schirm, Christoph Seuferle and Ludmila Talikova, with Víctor García de Gomar as the president.

The winners of the different categories have performed with an orchestra at the closing concert of the Gran Teatre del Liceu. The concert was broadcast via streaming and ended with works by Massenet and Mozart performed by Carmen Artaza, winner of the First Prize of the competition and the Extraordinary Prize of the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation.
